There isn't very much wrong with the post. I think the best part is the topic itself, its very interesting and original. I think the paragraphs are too short to talk about the basics of the photos. Also you could explin the photos better by saying what exactly is going on in each photo and how it applies. Finally if you had a better photo and paragraph at the end it would help to incorporate the meaning of the essay itself. Overall a very good and original photo essay.

I really enjoyed reading about the actions of black soldiers during the civil war. I had heard of their exploits before but the amount of depth you covered really enlightened my thinking. It would have been helpful if you had explained a little more of the content of the photo along with the background info. The photos themselves however were great, even with their black and white quality. Good job on the photo album James.

You picked some very good pictures for your photo album. I really liked your quote from the white officer speaking on the reliablity of the black troops and what he learned while in battle with them. I felt that your album was pretty well put together.
